Istanbul Topkapi University

Istanbul Topkapi University

ASU recognizes that promoting Erasmus activities is key to encouraging the university’s internationalization. Therefore, ASU management is committed to utilizing all promotional and motivational tools for students and staff.

Seminars will be organized in Turkish and English to inform about calls and opportunities for students and staff. Potential participants with special needs will be encouraged through separate sessions. In addition to information seminars about the program, motivational talks will be organized by experts to encourage students to participate in international activities. In these talks, former Erasmus participants will meet with potential participants to share their experiences and ideas. With the support of Erasmus student clubs, these students—incoming, outgoing, and future participants—will come together and contribute to the development of program activities at the university, increasing social participation. ASU also plans to use social media more effectively to attract local and international students for Erasmus activities.

To increase the number of incoming students, ASU aims to strengthen cooperation and make informative and encouraging presentations about ASU and Istanbul to partner university students by increasing partner visits. The international fairs, exhibitions, and networking events that ASU plans to participate in will help increase cooperation with international institutions.

In addition to the promotion goals of staff mobility and Staff Week, ASU’s goal of establishing a Project Office will enhance program activities by helping staff get acquainted with opportunities and gather practical information about applications and implementations under KA2 and KA3 projects.

ASU recognizes the great importance of the principles of the Specification in running and maintaining a high-quality program. Therefore, ASU is committed to adhering to these principles, working with all its units and departments.

The Specification will be published in both English and Turkish versions on the university’s website to ensure all staff and students can view it. It will also be sent via email to all university departments and units, accompanied by full explanations of the values and requirements. Meetings will be held by the Rectorate, including the International Office, Erasmus coordinators, the Student Affairs Unit, the Career and Alumni Relations Office, and other relevant departments to ensure that all departments fully understand the principles and introduce implementation methods.

In addition, regular meetings will be held to monitor how units comply with the principles and how activities progress over time. The ECHE self-assessment tool will be useful for checking strong or weak areas of implementation and evaluating university performance. Therefore, this tool will be introduced to and encouraged among relevant staff members. Additionally, feedback will be monitored via online surveys through the Mobility Tool, and weak points will be addressed. Accordingly, extra measures will be taken.
